A Helping Hand

While the local food banks are available for those suffering from hardship during the current COVID-19 crisis, other help is also available.

“Droxford and District Relief In Need” is an amalgamation of several small charities, some dating back to the nineteenth century, originally established to provide “poor relief” to the needy residents of Droxford, Shedfield, Soberton, and Swanmore.

Today the charity still gives grants to help residents with basic necessities – such as children’s clothing or other essentials – in time of hardship. Funds are limited but the charity is there to help where it can.

If you are in need and believe the charity may help please contact Liz, (clerk@shedfieldparishcouncil.org.uk). Similarly, if you are able to support the charity with any donation please contact Liz for further details.

Thank you.
