Shedfield Parish Council - planning committee

Committee Meetings take place in the Pavilion whilst Full Council Meetings are shared between Shedfield Reading Room, Waltham Chase Methodist Church Hall and Shirrell Heath Methodist Church Hall.

Planning Committee
The Planning Committee meets each month to view and consider Planning Applications in the area. Members of the public are invited to attend and sometimes ask the Councils approval for their own plans. The Councillors can make comment to applications drawing on their experience to best represent the parish’s interests in an objective manner.
Environmental issues are discussed as well as Enforcements which apply when planning permission has not been sought. The Councillors also comment on licensing applications and applications for trees to be felled/pruned which have tree preservation orders.
Other responsibilities of this committee include rural housing, street lights, public rights of way, highways and public transport.
