Shedfield Parish Council are delighted to have received a donation from the Garden House in Shedfield. The children raised £359.10 for various sponsored activities such as swimming, running, and keeping silent for as long as they could. The money will be put towards a picnic table for the Recreation Ground. We thank you for your hard work which will be enjoyed by the whole community.

2021 May Pavilion extension survey and update

An extension to the Shedfield Parish Council Pavilion – We need your help.

We’d love it if you can complete our quick survey :

Further to the last article on this subject I am delighted to let you know that Winchester City Council have now granted us full planning permission.  So our plans have now taken a small step nearer to fruition.

See link - to see the exciting extension that we are hoping to bring to our parishioners in the near future.

Outdoor Classes

We have recently produced a policy to allow any organised outdoor fitness classes to make use of the recreation ground at Shedfield – so watch this space for information on classes – and if you know of anyone who could make use of this facility – please get in touch with our clerk.

We are keen for as many people as possible to make use of this valuable green space – especially given the recent emphasis on how important this is for us all.

The Pavilion – Your input is required!

The Pavilion is a valuable community asset but is currently not being used to anywhere near its full potential.

We want to ensure that all our parishioners have somewhere they can call their own.  The aim is to ensure the upgrade will enable it to be used for various activities and social events.

With the introduction of bi-fold doors and larger windows we will have a function room that can be used simultaneously for indoor and outdoor use.

We are asking for you all to provide us with your thoughts about what activities you would like to be available. This will enable us to ensure that the layout of the function room to be designed to meet your needs.

Also, are there any other recreational activities (indoors or out) that you would like to see added?

We also want to minimise any issues you may have which would limit or prevent your use of the facility. So could you please let us know if there is anything that you would prevent or limit you using the facility?

We would love to hear from you and welcome any feedback. There are various ways of sending your comments:

  1. Email your thoughts to
  2. By post (letters can also be dropped off at the letterbox at the recreational ground entrance)
  3. By completing the  5 minute online survey (link also available on the Shedfield Parish Council Facebook page

This facility is for us all and it is important that you have your say – so please get in touch and let us know what you think.
