We invite you to attend our parish council meetings. Indeed, under section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, extended by section 100 of the Local Governent Act 1972, members of the public and press are entitled to attend Parish Council decision making meetings, unless precluded due to the confidential nature of business to be discussed, and we encourage your attendance.
How do I join a Council meeting held via Zoom?
If you would like to attend a meeting please contact the Clerk to the meeting and you will be provided with the appropriate zoom link.

Speaking at Council meetings
Whilst the press and public may not speak when the council is in session, you are invited to speak in the public session on agenda items, to inform the Council of your views before it makes a decision. There is a public session set aside near the beginning of the meeting and the Chairman will invite you to contribute.

How do I share my thoughts with Council if unable to attend?
If you would like the Council to know your thoughts, questions or views on an agenda item, but are unable or do not wish to attend, please e-mail the Clerk to the meeting who will ensure your thoughts are shared with Council prior to any decision being made.
If confidential matters are to be discussed
Occasionally, matters to be discussed may be deemed confidential e.g. staffing matters or contractors quotations prior to decision. These matters are usually discussed at the end of the meeting. If this is the case, the Chairman will ask you to kindly leave the meeting.
General questions or concerns about non-agenda items
If you have a question or concerns, please e-mail the clerk on firstname.lastname@example.org
