Full Council
Parish Councillors are elected firstly as members of Full Council and then members of the various Committees. The Full Council is responsible for all aspects of the Parish Council’s remit. However, they will delegate specific powers to Committees – each of which is responsible for deciding its own needs and setting the relevant budget for agreement at Full Council.
Any changes in overall Committee expenditure must be agreed by the Full Council.
The Full Council meets four times per annum, including the AGM. Each year they try to hold one Council meeting in each of Shedfield, Shirrell Heath and Waltham Chase Villages.
District and County Councillors are in attendance as is our local Police representative. They will provide reports and respond to queries from either parishioners or Council members.
The Parish Council also organises and hosts the Annual Parish Assembly.
Full Council Meetings
Members of the public are invited to attend committee and full council meetings. See here for further information about the meetings.
