Shedfield Parish Council are delighted to have received a donation from the Garden House in Shedfield. The children raised £359.10 for various sponsored activities such as swimming, running, and keeping silent for as long as they could. The money will be put towards a picnic table for the Recreation Ground. We thank you for your hard work which will be enjoyed by the whole community.

COVID-19

The Parish Council is seeking to respond to the changes and challenges brought about by COVID-19 and will follow the Govt. Road Map as advised.  We have a lot of information on this website you can access.   https://gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home . Our emergency plan can be found here: Shedfield Emergency Plan.

Please read the rules and FOLLOW them if you are using any of the open spaces and facilities in Shedfield, Shirrell Heath and Waltham Chase.

We pass all reports on to the local police. Those people who are not taking the situation seriously really are putting the rest of us at risk.

There are helpers and volunteers that have come forward to help people with shopping for essentials and collecting medicine etc.  If you don't know who is doing this for your road, then you can contact Jo, Mel and Nicky, volunteer coordinators, and they will advise and support you.  Their details are on our COVID-19 page.  Click on the RED banner, above. Thank you also to everyone who has offered support to enable this service to be possible.

The Parish Assembly has been postponed and will be rearranged once the Govt.Roadmap allows and details will be advertised here on our website.  The Parish Council meetings are now allowed to return to face to face meetings.  These will be subject to all the current Covid guidelines.  The dates and venue for the meetings can be found on this website.  We continue to offer the opportunity for people to contribute; either remotely, or by sending an e-mail which will be discussed at the meeting.

Our recreation grounds are all open but please observe social distancing and avoid using the outdoor adult gym equipment as this is awaiting repair.

Dogs may be left off their leads on Shedfield Common, the Triangle Recreation Ground in Waltham Chase and Shirrell Heath Recreation Ground.

I would like to thank our members of staff for their hard work and adjustments they have made, to those working on the Parish Council website and Facebook and to Gary our Community Service Officer who is working in the Community.

Finally, I would like to thank you all for your support of the local initiative to support those in need at this time.  Moving forward, we will advertise opportunities to assist on our Facebook page and under ‘Latest News’ on the home page of our Website.  Thank you all in advance for your support.

Please contact the Clerk for more details - Telephone 01329 830060 / 07918623009 or e-mail directly to the Clerk
